Introduction : Mushroom poisoning was the leading cause of foodborne disease outbreaks and outbreak-associated deaths in China. outbreak surveillance can provide insight into epidemiological characteristics mushroom poisonings guide policymaking health education to reduce illnesses deaths. Methods Foodborne Disease Outbreak Surveillance System upgraded 2011 collect during 2010–2020 were selected analyze geographical distribution, seasonal setting food preparation. Results A total 10,036 outbreaks, which resulted 38,676 788 deaths, reported this period. occurred all over country, but with highest incidence southwest central Overall, 84.6% associated prepared households, followed by 8.7% street stalls, 2.5% canteens. clearly exhibited seasonality, peak season summer through autumn. Outbreaks occurring between May October accounted for 94.1% 92.4% illnesses, 97.2% Conclusions is a safety issue higher concern Targeted essential poisoning, especially Citizens are advised not or eat wild mushrooms.
